Master Production Schedule is a comprehensive system for scheduling,monitoring, and reporting on manufacturing production planning. It isflexible with schedules that include firm orders, planned orders, andindependent- and dependent-demand by user-defined time periods. Theplanning schedule is driven by an integration of forecasts and actualsales orders. It also maintains order information by exact date so thatreporting can be detailed or summarized into user-defined periods. MasterProduction Schedule is fully integrated with Order Processing, MaterialRequirements Planning, and Production Capacity Planning modules. Bill ofMaterial and Inventory modules are required interfaces.Master Production Schedule automatically posts actual shipments and carryforward backlog, supports "can we build it" analysis, and provides rough-cut capacity planning to test production ability.
